Preclinical and clinical research updates of GRIT’s next-generation gene-edited TIL product GT201 will be presented at the ASGCT and ASCO annual meetings.

Grit Bio（沙砾生物）will present the latest updates on the preclinical and clinical research of its next-generation gene-edited TIL product, GT201, at the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) meeting in May 2023 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in June 2023.

GT201 is a next-generation genetically engineered TIL product developed by Grit Bio. It expresses a membrane-bound cytokine with optimized structural design. The stable expression of GT201 on TIL from different donors and tumor sources was achieved using the StaViral® retroviral system tailored for engineered TIL therapy. GT201 demonstrates enhanced proliferation, tumor killing ability, cytokine release and improved persistence compared to traditional TIL products with lower dependence on IL-2. This overcomes challenges faced by traditional TIL products, optimizing their functionality and persistence while potentially reducing the required dosage of IL-2 in clinical applications. In the first-in-human trial, GT201 exhibited good safety profiles in patients with advanced solid tumors, along with stable in-vivo expansion and preliminary clinical efficacy.
